Course overview
With the support and flexibility to tailor the course to your individual career goals, you'll build the skills and confidence to succeed in a global business environment. Designed to build on your previous business foundation course or HND, this top-up degree gives you the option to complete your BA in one or two years. If you choose the two-year route, you'll have the opportunity to take on a year-long industry placement, gaining valuable real-world experience. You'll develop essential business and administrative skills to work across a wide range of private and public organisations and learn foundations for starting your business. You'll explore the key factors behind business success, with a particular focus on the role of management. As you progress, you'll sharpen your analytical and planning skills, build confidence in tackling complex business and management challenges, and develop the expertise needed to become a successful business manager.

This course provides a strong understanding of organisations, their functions, structure and management. You'll study the key business functions that drive success and build the skills needed to support your career development. You'll explore international business practices across cultures and learn how stakeholders and partners engage in an international context. Through collaborative projects, you'll gain experience working in teams and presenting business ideas with clarity and confidence in an international marketplace. You'll also have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to set up and run your own business. Our optional modules allow you to tailor your studies to your personal interests and career ambitions.
