Course overview
Our Bachelor’s Programme in Business Administration (BBA) is a full-time, three-year programme (180 ECTS), delivered on-site at the University of Vaasa, Finland’s largest provider of business education. It prepares you to continue your studies directly at Master’s level (3+2 years). You will study in an international environment, gaining expertise in management, marketing, international business, and industrial management, while tailoring your studies through specialization modules and electives.
The programme offers a comprehensive understanding of business and its environment, integrating perspectives on sustainability, digitalization, and the energy transition. Your studies include core business subjects, interdisciplinary modules, international exchange opportunities, and internships, ensuring both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
First year of studies consists of introductory studies that includes courses in study skills and technology as well as introductory courses in business studies. Second and third year offer major and specialisation studies, such as mandatory subject-specific studies, profiling modules and specialisation electives. You can choose two profiling modules of Enterprise Digitalisation, Digital Economy, Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning, Energy Transition or Branding in Global Media Scapes. You can also specialize in Industrial Management, International Business, Marketing or Accounting and Finance before your Master's studies.
You can also include an international exchange in your studies. In the third year of the programme, you will complete the bachelor’s thesis. Additionally, you will develop communication and language abilities, with international students reaching B1-level Finnish to support career opportunities in Finland.
