Course overview
Are you interested in the intricacies of international business? Are you curious about how customer-focused innovation and entrepreneurship lead to new business models and start-ups? Do you see the need for digital skills in working in either of these areas? Is sustainability in business important to you? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the MSc in International Business and Marketing (“Siviløkonom”) program at NTNU in Ålesund may be for you.
Application deadlines are 1 December for non-EU, 1 March for EU and 15 April for Nordic applicants.
What will you learn?
The MSc program in International Business and Marketing you will develop a deep understanding of how companies operate, compete, and create value in international markets. You will learn to apply scientific theories and methods to analyse complex issues within international business, marketing, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The programme trains you to identify challenges and opportunities in global organisations, make well-reasoned conclusions, and contribute to new thinking in business practice. You will also learn to communicate analyses and results clearly and professionally, both to specialists and to leaders, clients, and partners without an economics background.
This programme provides you with a combination of analytical skills, strategic insight, and international perspective needed to work in a global and knowledge-driven business environment.

Internship:
Master students at NTNU School of International Business have several opportunities to work closely with regional industry. One of these is to take a credit bearing internship worth 15 ECTS in your third semester.
An internship gives you a great opportunity to gain work experience and strengthen your future career prosepects. You can use what you have learned during your courses, while building a network in the industry.

Aalesund is a small and friendly city located beautifully between fjords, mountains, and the ocean. As a student here you will be a part of a vibrant and welcoming student environment. There are many student organizations that you can engage yourself in. For students at the Department of International the student organization “Børsen Linjeforening” offers many social and professional events that you can join.
