NO UNIVERSITY FEES.
As a state univeristy in Austria, the University of Klagenfurt can offer your study programme free of charge. If you complete your studies promptly, there are no costs for you as an EU/EEA citizen (except the ÖH student union fee of around € 25 per semester).
AFFORDABLE LIVING.
Klagenfurt is one of Austria's cities where the cost of living remains refreshingly affordable. Rooms in student residences or shard flats as well as small studio apartments can be had for around € 350 to € 600. Certain programmes offer scholarships you can apply for.

The University of Klagenfurt (AAU) is a public campus university in the south of Austria, where around 13,300 students study and conduct research. At its 4 faculties, you can choose from a wide range of degree programmes in the fields of economics, law, engineering, robotics, media, psychology, education, culture, and languages. We offer 22 Bachelor's programmes, 31 Master's programmes, 14 teaching subjects and 5 doctoral progrmmes. Here, you will find the programme that suits you.

Our stunning campus cobers 10 hectares and comes with plenty of inviting and leafy green spaces, all in close proximity to Lake Wörthersee. The university campus is ideally located between Klagenfurt's town centre and Lake Wörthersee. The student dorms are in close proximity to the university and just a stone's throw away from the most beautiful lake in Europe. Thanks to excellent public transport links, you can reach the vibrant centre of Klagenfurt or explore unspoiled nature in no time at all. The cycle path along the picturesque Lendkanal connects the lake, the university and the city.
