Course overview

This is a two year Master's degree run jointly by the IMI and the School of Business, Trinity College. The course provides a thorough professional education and development opportunity for managers who have the potential for further and significant progression with their organisations. Many graduates have gone on to very senior roles, a number at CEO level of large organisations.

The course offers an integrated interdisciplinary approach, and equips participants to understand both themselves and how organisations can be managed, changed and developed. It offers a global perspective with input from world-class faculty.

The course material will provide participants with a practical understanding of how to compete successfully in a challenging global environment. In year one there are three main modules with the following themes:

  • The organisation in its environment

  • Understanding the key management functions

  • Managing change strategically


The course is intended to accelerate the organisational development process by providing future business leaders with the skills, knowledge and expertise to make major contribution to the strategic guidance of their company and to assist in the implementation of long-term performance improvements
