Course overview

Become an in-demand early-childhood teacher with well-developed leadership skills, with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Leadership from VU. You will learn how to teach children in early childhood, from birth to five years old, and understand the transition to school through a mix of curriculum, learning and pedagogical theory. You will study units that foreground Aboriginal perspectives and focus on a range of aspects, including: play psychology and child development history and philosophy of early childhood sociological constructions of the child family, community and international contexts teaching pedagogies education and curriculum studies leadership and policy in early childhood early childhood professional practice. leadership.
