Course Overview
This course will look at Hierarchy of Control will be examined and the learner will consider how this relates to their workplace, and hazard identification methodologies, such as PHAs, HAZOPS, What iFs, and FMEAs. The significance of the organisation's risk matrix and the concepts of tolerability, ERICPD and ALARP will be examined.

Assessment
A written assignment equivalent to 1500 words outlining the learner's role and responsibilities within process safety at their place of work.
Further Information
You will be required to attend two half-day teaching sessions at the Carmarthen Campus. These days will provide you with a secure foundation for your study. Throughout this module you will be supported by a Tutor. This support can either be face-to-face, via telephone, email or Skype - or a mix of all these. You will be required to complete the module within three months of the induction.
