Course overview
Biotechnology is the study of the systems that govern gene expression and metabolic pathways.
You will learn how manipulation of these systems can be applied to the use of microbes as ‘cell factories’ to make gene therapies, replace missing components in defective cells and synthesise therapeutic drugs from byproducts of microbial metabolism.
