Course overview
The aim of this program is to train professionals who would like to experience what studying a doctorate might be, whilst at the same time allowing to earn a high valuable masters-level qualification for the carrier in the industry.
The program's uniqueness is a study based on individual interdisciplinary specialization according to student’s interest through projects in laboratories and individual contact hours (mentoring).
Entry requirements
- Completed university bachelor’s degree studies in the life sciences or physical sciences field groups, biotechnology field of the technological sciences field group, or bioengineering field of the engineering sciences field group.
- Scientific research thesis or internship completed during the bachelor studies.
- At least 30 ECTS credits in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, etc. earned in bachelor studies. The cumulative grade point average of these course units shall be no less than 60 per cent of the maximum possible grade;
- Candidates shall possess a bachelor studies cumulative grade point average of no less than 70 per cent to be admitted.
- The candidates shall submit: a motivational letter and one scientific recommendation.
- The motivational interview will take place on 22 April or 17 June 2024 and will be organised remotely. The following are evaluated during the interview: the factors that led to choosing the programme, the vision of professional future, the English language proficiency. Each aspect is assessed on a 10-point system. The candidates are ranked; persons with highest points are admitted.
