Course overview
This degree offers on-site training in commercial vineyards, wineries, winery laboratories, and sensory analysis in association with regional wine shows. Highly applied and analytical, the course is suitable for school leavers, international students, producers and those of who are looking for a career change. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Science (Wine Science) students will have the skills to work in the vineyard, the winery or both. For those who are with a career vision beyond the square there are exciting opportunities in the many industries which support the grape and wine producers. Those who are looking to launch a career in wine business or appraisal are also catered for, with the option to select a second major in biology or environmental management and elective subjects in business, weather and climate change - enhancing their employability.
