This masters degree will:

• develop your understanding of the economics of education
• assess the benefits and costs of education to individuals and society
• evaluate economic policies in developing and developed countries
• evaluate and critique the ways in which economists have applied economic principles to education and education policy-making.

This masters degree provides the opportunity to:

• examine relationships between education and its benefits to individuals and society
• apply key economic concepts, methods and ideas to education policy in both developing and developed countries
• analyse and carry out research in your own field of work.

People who would like to work in educational planning or policy, to engage in research in educational finance or economics, or to extend their understanding of the economic and financial aspects of education.

A good first degree or equivalent that includes some economics. If your qualification is in another subject, you should also have appropriate experience of working in education.
