About Economics and Science for Environmental Sustainability (ESES), BSc - at University of Milano-Bicocca
The Bachelor in Economics and Science for Environmental Sustainability is an interdepartmental and newly launched program for the 2025/26 academic year, designed to address the growing global demand for professionals capable of integrating economic, scientific, and managerial approaches to sustainability. With climate change, resource scarcity, and corporate responsibility at the forefront of societal challenges, this program equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate and lead in a rapidly evolving world.
The curriculum balances fundamental economic concepts with a focus on environmental sustainability and business practices. Core courses include Fundamentals of Management, Marketing, Microeconomics, and Mathematics, alongside specialized topics such as Energy Economics, Market Failures and Regulation, and International Environmental Law. Students also explore critical scientific dimensions, including Biological Resources, Ecosystems and Technosystems, and Earth Systems and Climate Change, fostering a holistic understanding of sustainability.
The approval process for the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Science for Environmental Sustainability is not yet complete. The program will be activated in the academic year 2025-2026 provided that the procedure concludes positively.
