Course overview
This course enables you to develop the range of knowledge, skills and experience needed to work in the growing marketing communications industry. You learn to use up-to-date integrated multimedia solutions to develop marketing communications strategies.
You develop knowledge of the core marketing principles combined with practical experience.
On this course you gain
* an in depth understanding of marketing and marketing communication principles, concepts, techniques and technology
* a range of personal and commercial communication skills
* work experience in marketing communications
* a portfolio of work which can be used as evidence of creative development and application
You may be able to spend part of your second year studying abroad in an English speaking country such as Australia, Canada or the USA.
In year three, you can take a one year paid work placement. You develop your practical knowledge and increase your employability. We help you to find a suitable placement and provide support throughout. You can also choose to go straight into your final year and gain valuable work experience through the work-based learning module.
In the final year, you may complete a client-sponsored project, which lets you demonstrate managerial and creative marketing ability in an organisational setting. You develop your professional skills by working on real business problems.
Our teaching team consists of experienced professionals with a range of advertising and marketing communications experience. Many tutors are examiners for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
