This degree offers students with a keen interest in marketing the opportunity to study business in a wider context. The structure of the course lets you tailor your interest in marketing and business subjects, while improving your career options.
We designed the course to enable you to
gain an appreciation of principles, techniques and skills in general business and specialist marketing areas
develop academic knowledge, creative thinking and the practical skills needed to succeed in the increasingly competitive graduate job market
develop an awareness and critical understanding of present day issues in the business and marketing environments
take a work placement
You can study specialist business subjects including * international business * enterprise management * human resource management * business operations * global marketing * marketing communications * product innovations * strategic marketing.
You may be able to spend part of your second year studying abroad in an English speaking country such as Australia, Canada or the USA.
In year three, you can take a one year paid work placement. You develop your practical knowledge and increase your employability. We help you to find a suitable placement and provide support throughout. Or you can go straight into your final year and gain valuable work experience through the work-based learning module.
We have close links with a large number of placement partners in the service and manufacturing industries through research and consultancy.
