About Business Studies, PhD - at Cardiff University

Our key to providing you with a profound learning experience is our Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognised research methods training provision.
Our Management and Business Studies PhD involves one year of research training followed by three years’ work on your PhD topic. The training in the first year comprises of participation in general and subject-specific modules which leads to a Master’s qualification in Social Science Research Methods.
Our faculty expertise encompasses a significant range of topics and themes and we offer supervision and/or research projects in the following broad areas:
- Accounting and Finance
- Management, Employment and Organisation
- Logistics and Operations Management
- Marketing and Strategy.
