Visegrad Scholarships 2026/27: Study International Relations from Visegrad Perspective with Full Funding

Are you interested in European affairs, regional cooperation, and the future of Central and Eastern Europe? The MA in International Relations: Europe from Visegrad Perspective is now open for applications – along with a new round of prestigious scholarships funded by the International Visegrad Fund.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, eight fully funded scholarships are available for outstanding candidates joining this unique joint degree programme.

What do the scholarships cover?

Selected students will receive funding for the entire two-year programme, including:

  • full tuition fee coverage
  • mobility support of €3,500 per semester

This means not only financial support, but also the opportunity to study in an international, interdisciplinary environment and gain first-hand experience of regional cooperation in Europe by studying in Poland, Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia.

Who can apply?

The scholarships are open to candidates from:

  • Visegrad Group countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia)
  • Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine)
  • Western Balkans (North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo)

Important dates

  • Applications open: April 15, 2026
  • Deadline: June 15, 2026 (noon)
  • Interviews: by June 18, 2026
  • Results announced: by June 25, 2026

Please note: only applicants who are admitted to the programme are eligible for the scholarship.

Why this programme?

This joint degree offers a distinctive perspective on Europe through the lens of the Visegrad region. It brings together students from across Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, combining academic excellence with practical, international experience.

How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, candidates must submit their application via email and send original documents by post to the MA Admissions & Administrative Office at the Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University.
