Student reviews
I love Western Sydney for the fact that it offers all that it takes for you to be a well-rounded professional in your field. This university fulfills all my requirements of a foreign education: multicultural environment, well-designed curricula, high-class facilities, and practical training opportunities. The inclusivity and support the university provides towards the international students is simply amazing.
Western Sydney's teaching staff are highly supportive, and I am so grateful for all the support I have received from them throughout my degree. Western's world ranking was also a reason for me to choose to study at Western Sydney University.
I am a nature lover and have been so impressed by the beautiful campuses of the University. I have loved all the great services Western provides to its students be it the trips through Out & About Club, the events organized by the careers team, teaching facilities, or its amazing infrastructure. Western's specialized equipment sets a great learning vibe in its amazingly designed classrooms.
I have noticed Western always ensures that students have access to all the software and equipment required for their courses. Being a gold medalist (Ranked 1st) in Bachelor of Computer Applications, I wanted to pursue a master's degree in the same field. Western Sydney University recognized my past achievements by offering me a great scholarship for my master's degree. Therefore, I decided to pursue an advanced degree in Master of Information and Communications Technology. In addition to supporting me financially, this scholarship had also been a great source of encouragement for me to perform my best and as a result, I have proudly graduated as a Dean's Medalist from the university.
I must admit I had a great experience while studying at Western and I am so grateful for all the support I received from the academic staff as well. My foremost advice to international students would be, there is an abundance of great opportunities for international students at Western. Avail as many new and different opportunities as you can because you never know which opportunity can open doors to an achievement that you have been wanting to achieve.
Western Sydney University is a great place to learn, develop and grow as a person. It offers you many opportunities, enables you to be part of the active social clubs while gaining knowledge in your field of study. University is what you make of it, but Western provides you a relaxed environment to strive in succeeding. I like that the teachers are extremely approachable and are willing to help you learn when you ask for it. Close consultation and interaction with the teachers have helped me get the best out of my degree.
