Course overview

For students planning to pursue a career in law or who wish to learn more about the Canadian and international legal systems

Does not guarantee admission to law school or direct entry into the legal profession

A rigorous curriculum to foster such skillsets demanded by law schools as: analytical and problem-solving; critical reading and thinking; oral and written communication; organization; and knowledge of the law and social justice

Introduces the intersections between legal studies and political science, philosophy, history, labour studies, women's and gender studies and sociology

Students may choose to double major in any BA Honours program.

English Language Proficiency

The following are many different types of English proficiency tests that the university accepts with the minimum required scores:

TOEFL - Computer based score: 220 with Test of Written English score: 4.5. Internet based score: 83 with essay score: 20.

IELTS: 6.5.

CAEL: 60.

MELAB: 85.
