USQ's Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Information Technology Management) is highly focused on Information Systems (IS) as a key strategic enabler of business success and will teach you how to leverage IS to identify and solve business problems.

You will develop skills in business analysis, information analysis and management, project management, security, network management, service management and managing enterprise systems. You will have the opportunity to pursue professional certification in ITIL (ISO 20000), CompTIA Security+, Oracle and SAP to improve your career advancement.

The major can take you into a variety of rapidly emerging IS career paths where business skills, for example communication, problem-solving and teamwork, are most important.

Study the IT major alongside a second major, two minors or a selection of electives from a variety of business and commerce fields.

Career outcomes

The industry is currently experiencing a shortage of qualified Australian ICT graduates, especially in the field of business analysts and project managers. As a graduate, you will be qualified to seek career opportunities as a business analyst, systems analyst, data architect, business process/data modeler, enterprise resource planning (ERP) analyst, computer trainer/support, IT manager, IT sales and marketing specialist, change manager, business process engineer, IT project manager, consultant, business continuity (BCM) specialist or IT security specialist.
