Course overview
With world food demand doubling in the next 30 years, Australia and the rest of the world are thinking beyond traditional farming and food processing methods to a transformed agricultural sector, including the greater use of robotics and 'big data'.
Shape the food production of the future with USQ's Master of Business and Innovation, specialising in Agribusiness. Designed to produce future leaders of the agribusiness sector, you will learn how to effectively operate in the unique business conditions that agriculture presents, adapt relevant technology to increase your profitability, and build your understanding of the factors that impact on the supply of goods in and out of an agribusiness.
Along with Agribusiness choose a second specialisation to focus on that can complement your career ambitions:
- Big Data and Visualisation
- Crisis Management
- Digital Transformation
- Enterprise Leadership
- Finance
- General
- International Business
- Professional Communication
- Sustainable Business
The third component of your studies will be a research project which will expand your knowledge in innovative business and entrepreneurship. Choose either an Applied Research or an Advanced Research project:
The Applied Research project has a practical emphasis on innovative and creative approaches to current issues in the business environment. You can use your own experiences as a basis for your studies and develop a research project based on your current workplace;
The Advanced Research specialisation will allow you to gain an in-depth understanding of your business interests. Using research methods, you will explore different approaches to business and entrepreneurial problems to solving. This specialisation also offers a research based pathway into a PhD.
This degree emphasises collaboration with other specialities to prepare you for decision making in an era of innovation.
