About Bachelor of Social Science (BSSC) (Social Justice and Anthropology), Bachelor Degree - at University of Southern Queensland
The Bachelor of Social Science (Social Justice and Anthropology) will cover a wide range of topics, including the nature of human behaviour and how people live and work together in various kinds of social groups. Student's studies can be used to address some of society's most compelling questions on war, gender, discrimination, racism and other equal divisions of power. At USQ, Anthropology goes beyond the traditional idea of studying remote societies and cultures, and looks at the social and cultural experiences of own lives. Careers that await students upon completion of their degree include social planning, community development and social policy, as well as a wide range of public service and welfare occupations, and in cultural heritage and Native Title consultancy. Those interested in becoming a professional anthropologist or sociologist will need to undertake a fourth year Honours degree, such as Bachelor of Arts (Honours).
