Delve deeper into the world of Journalism with the Bachelor of Communication and Media (Journalism Extended).
The Journalism Extended major will assist you in developing and improving your skills in interviewing, writing, reporting and editing while also teaching you to become a more discriminating news producer. You will learn about the history of journalism, how the journalistic process works and how professional journalists make decisions.
You will develop an advanced understanding of online storytelling by thinking creatively about multimedia and examining the impact of the Internet on news values and ethics.
Career outcomes
USQ Journalism graduates are working in radio, television, digital and print news media, throughout Australia and overseas. Graduates will be equipped with the skills required to work as a reporter, feature writer, corporate communications officer, media engagement officer or digital communications producer.
