Course overview
The Bachelor of Engineering Science will give you the technical knowledge and skills to practice as a graduate engineering technologist. Gain hands-on experience, work with professional equipment and learn the highly sought after skills you will need in industry. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist. When you have completed the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you have the option to undertake the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and receive the appropriate credit. In Power Engineering major students will be at the forefront of sustainable electricity generation, transmission and utilisation and prepare for the future of power in Australia. With current course content, they will be prepared to take on the challenges of modern power engineering. Their study program allows them to work in power plants and analyse the use of expert equipment to apply their practical knowledge in the industry. After students graduate with their Bachelor of Engineering Science, they will be open to a vast range of careers as a Power Engineering Technologist or Electrical Power Technologist to work in various fields including mining and transportation as well as solar and renewable industries. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, students will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining some experience from working in the field, they can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist.
