The Bachelor of Engineering Science will give you the technical knowledge and skills to practice as a graduate engineering technologist. Gain hands-on experience, work with professional equipment and learn the highly sought after skills you will need in industry. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist. When you have completed the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you have the option to undertake the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and receive the appropriate credit. In mechanical engineering major students will build upon their prior experience and knowledge or start a new, learning the skills and capabilities involved with being a mechanical engineer. Students will design the newest in modern mechanical innovations in the automotive, aeronautical, building, power, manufacturing and public utility industries and learn the practical skills to develop and manufacture efficient, economical and reliable machinery. With a high demand for mechanical engineers in all areas of industry, students are guaranteed to begin their successful career quickly. They can work as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Technical Sales Engineer or Production Manager in an extensive variety of areas and use their knowledge of modern machinery and equipment to take on the future of technical mechanics.
