Course overview
The Bachelor of Engineering Science will give you the technical knowledge and skills to practice as a graduate engineering technologist. Gain hands-on experience, work with professional equipment and learn the highly sought after skills you will need in industry. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist. When you have completed the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you have the option to undertake the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and receive the appropriate credit. Through environmental engineering students can become a part of the future of sustainable engineering and learn the fundamentals of environmental conservation and rehabilitation. With lecturers from successful research backgrounds, the knowledge and skills students will acquire will be first-class, to prepare them for a career as an Environmental Engineering Technologist. With a strong rural soil and water focus and emphasis upon the study of specialist topics including water and wastewater treatment, mine site rehabilitation and salinisation, they will be equipped to tackle environmental issues head on in the fields of the rehabilitation of mines and landscapes, water resource and conservation, salinisation, irrigation structures, environmental studies and research. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, students will eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining some experience from working in the field, they can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist.
