Course overview
The Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Health Care Professionals is specifically designed to prepare registered health care professionals to develop and adopt an educational role across a range of settings, both academic and practice based.
Participants will have a genuine interest in supporting learning and the development of effective learning environments.
You will develop your learning and teaching skills in a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, including the University's Clinical Simulation Centre and Hydra Simulation Centre.
What's more, you will be supported to develop specific innovations in relation to facilitating learning and be encouraged to disseminate these within your peer-group and own settings.
For healthcare professionals registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the course reflects the significant changes made in 2018 by the NMC. Successful completion will enable these students to fulfil the new roles of practice / academic assessor.
