Course overview

This two year part-time healthcare support worker course has been designed to provide continuing higher education for those working as support workers in health care settings. The primary aim of this healthcare course is to support the development of the Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) workforce and to promote standards of care across all contexts of practice.

This course has been mapped to year one of the All Wales Nursing curriculum and therefore offers an opportunity to apply to progress into the second year of the nursing course (full time or new flexible route) upon successful completion. It can also facilitate promotion to Band 4 worker roles in the future.
