About Polymer Composites, Miscellaneous Award - at University of Nottingham
Our main themes are textile composites; manufacturing processes, including process modelling and recycling; mechanical performance, particularly damage under impact loading; and biodegradable composites for medical applications. The group addresses these topics through a combination of experimental and computational methods. Processing and performance of materials based on both thermoplastic and thermoset polymers is investigated. Applications for these materials cover a range of areas, although the primary focus is high performance aerospace and automotive structures.
