Course overview
The aim of this course is to enable registered nurses and midwives to become confident and capable to practice as a teacher in higher education and in clinical practice.
This course will enable students to achieve the competencies described at stage four of the developmental framework contained in the Standards for Learning and Assessment in Practice (NMC 2008). It will also enable them to meet the criteria described in descriptor 2 (D2) located in the UK Professional Standards Framework (HEA 2011).

English language requirements for international students
General English language entry requirement for most programmes of study require you to have a minimum of IELTS equivalent 6.0 (with no contributing band of less than 5.5).
Our Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) is a specialised unit providing English language teaching and support for registered students who have English as an additional language.
