Course overview

The programme is designed for senior civil servants at Assistant Secretary level who are nominated by their Departments. The programme recruits 12 students on a two-year cycle. The next programme commences in January 2007. The first year of the programme consists of three taught modules relevant to the strategic management of public sector organisations, these are examined at the end of each module. In the second year students complete a group project based on analysis of carefully targeted public sector organisations overseas. Each student also completes an individual project concerning a strategic issue within his or her department.
