About Professional Higher Certificate in Glaucoma, Certificate - at The University of Bradford

This course is designed for optometrists and other healthcare professionals who hold the Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and wish to further advance their knowledge and clinical practice in glaucoma.

The course aims to prepare clinicians to diagnose ocular hypertension, to make a preliminary diagnosis of chronic open angle glaucoma, and to monitor patients with diagnosed ocular hypertension (on treatment or in the absence of a management plan).

The clinical placement aims to give students the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt during the taught sessions and to refine their clinical decision making in patients with or at risk of developing glaucoma.

The course is based in the School of Optometry and Vision Science, which has continued to pioneer high-quality new developments in optometric education, and it is recognised both nationally and internationally for the excellence of its courses, graduates and research.
