Course overview
The International Program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation (MA in Public Policy) is a yearlong interdisciplinary master’s program taught in English with an optional thesis component. Students graduate from this program having acquired the tools for effective analysis, mediation and negotiation strategies, and conflict resolution frameworks in the international arena. Students also earn a certificate of completion issued by Tel Aviv University for the program’s workshop in International Mediation.
Entry requirements
Conflict Resolution and Mediation students boast a range of academic, demographic, and professional backgrounds. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree) from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or 78 on a 100-point scale. Applicants with a cumulative GPA between 2.5-2.7 or 75-77, may be considered but require permission from the Faculty's Academic Committee. Applications with several years of academic and/or professional experience after obtaining their first degree are given preference. The program seeks self-motivated students who can create connections between the topics presented and their personal interest in conflict resolution. Classroom participation is an integral aspect of the program's educational approach, and incoming students are accepted with the expectation that they will contribute in kind to their fellow classmates' education.
