Course overview
Candidates for the MSc should have a good Honours degree. We also welcome applications from those with other qualifications relevant to counselling, e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Qualified Social Worker, etc. and from those with evidence of working at degree level via a post qualification portfolio.
Candidates must have successfully completed a Certificate in Counselling or equivalent.
Candidates are required to obtain a counselling placement whereby they undertake a minimum of 100 hours of supervised counselling practice during the course.
Candidates should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent).
The emotional maturity and resilience of prospective students will be assessed as part of the application and interview process.
