Course overview

This degree is part of our wider real estate programme. It is a versatile course which equips you for careers in property, such as in planning, development and management. The course covers a wide range of real estate content, including * sustainable development * business planning * urban regeneration * property development * international real estate practice. This diversity provides you with a solid foundation for a career in many areas of real estate practice and in other areas related to planning and real estate. You gain a broad understanding of real estate valuation, economics, management and law. You also examine real estate environmental, political and social issues. To improve your work performance and help progress your career, the course also develops your business knowledge and skills, such as * problem solving * report writing * communication * working in groups * IT. You gain valuable practical knowledge and skills needed in real estate such as * referencing property * selling and marketing property * letting residential property * project management. After completing the degree, you may be able to transfer to our BSc (Honours) Real Estate Business Management, which leads to membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
