About Occupational Therapy Pre-registration, MSc - at Sheffield Hallam University
This course has fully recruited for 2010 entry but we are now accepting applications for 2011. The course is for people with a degree in a relevant area such as social or biological sciences, or have a relevant professional qualification. You learn about occupational therapy through practice in various health and social care and voluntary organisations. The course includes four periods of practice in occupational therapy or related services to give you at least 1,000 hours of relevant and varied experience with people who have different health and social care needs. We support your clinical practice through an academic programme delivered one day a week in the University. You take eight academic modules during the course of the programme and complete a practice-based research project. After you graduate you can apply for registration with the UK Health Professions Council and find employment as an occupational therapist anywhere in the UK. You need registration before you can work as an occupational therapist.Entry requirements for this course
