Course overview

This course develops your knowledge and skills to work successfully in today’s complex world of business. It focuses on the key areas of * business * marketing * management * information systems and analysis. We believe in learning by doing, which means we teach through projects, case studies and assignments from business clients. The course focuses on developing practical skills and business understanding alongside academic knowledge. As well as personal, analytical and communication skills, you gain skills in * problem solving * decision making * negotiation * information technology * research * project management. These skills are needed in all organisations. After completing the HND, many students take the next step and top up their qualification to a degree by studying our BA (Honours) Business Management (one year top up). Or, you may transfer directly to the second year of our BA (Honours) Business Management after completing the first year of this course, if you achieve the appropriate grades. The transfer route enables you to take a one year placement on the third year of the degree. The placement gives you an insight into how real organisations work and improves your employability after graduation.
