Course overview

Digital Business represents the impact of new technologies on business practice products and services. Today, technologies such as social computing and mobile devices are dramatically changing the behaviors and characteristics that lead individuals and organizations to success. This minor allows students to enhance their major program of study with a focus on these new technologies and their application in business.

Saunders College of Business is unique in that it combines its Marketing and Management Information Systems programs under the same department. These disciplines are found at the intersection of the emerging fields of Big Data and Business Intelligence which are areas of high demand by employers today.

As one of the first business colleges to offer a New Media Marketing program, the Digital Business minor at Saunders College leverages the leadership position in this emerging field. And Saunders College is recognized among the best in the nation where these specialties intersect: #14 Management Information Systems, #21 Entrepreneurship, #26 Marketing, #52 International Business (Bloomberg Businessweek, The Best Undergraduate Business Schools by Specialty 2013, #92 overall).

Entry requirements

Admission to RIT undergraduate business programs is granted to qualified applicants who show high potential for success. The RIT vision is to educate business school students to achieve personal and professional success over their lifetimes.
