Course overview

RCSI's Graduate Entry BSc in Physiotherapy is a three-year degree programme for those already holding a primary undergraduate degree. It is accredited by CORU, the regulator for Health and Social Care professionals in Ireland; and theIrish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, which is the representative body in Ireland for the World Confederation of Physical Therapy.

At RCSI, you are taught to a high level of practice to ensure that you are fully qualified to work in any clinical setting after graduation. In Foundation Year and First Physiotherapy, most of your education takes place on campus, where you will get a solid foundation in basic science and physiotherapy skills in preparation for six sets of five-week clinical placements in Second and Final Physiotherapy.

We offer a wide range of high-quality clinical placements in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities across Ireland. During the summer months, you will have the opportunity to participate in the RCSI Research Summer School, international research electives at partner universities in China and Japan or volunteer work with the Christina Noble Foundation in Vietnam.

International graduates of the RCSI Physiotherapy programme have a one-year stayback visa option should you wish to practice in Ireland.
