About Physiotherapy, MSc - at University of Pécs

Physiotherapist professionals during the master program may become familiar with the operation of the national health care and understand the complex institutional system, and become capable of using the results of the newest scientific researches during clinical practice. The acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills may also provide access to further studies, such as a Doctoral program (PhD training). The master program includes and provides advanced knowledge of basic natural and social sciences, advanced pharmacological knowledge, complex musculoskeletal clinical skills, advanced neurological clinical skills, advanced clinical knowledge of cardiorespiratory system, and scientific knowledge of different physiotherapy treatments (intensive therapy, sports physiotherapy, ergo-therapy).

The master’s graduates may become suitable to improve the therapeutic procedures and protocols, to recognize and analyze the physical-, anatomical-, physiological- and pathophysiological factors, to plan and execute activities and research in physiotherapy, to resolve scientific problems and trace new physiotherapy knowledge, to select and use physiotherapy-methods based on scientific evidence, to organize physiotherapy examinations in clinical environment, to lead physiotherapy units in medical institutes, to analyze scientific test results during physiotherapy activities and to move forward the health education.
