Course overview
This course will equip you with a specialist education in the media and enable you to build an impressive portfolio of skills in media production, as well as key transferable communication skills.
Theoretical and practical aspects of the audio visual industries are incorporated and the course will prepare you for careers in areas including radio and TV broadcasting, film production, interactive media, online content creation and development, commercials, and corporate production.

Entry requirements
SQA Higher: BCCC including English at B.
GCE A Level: CCC including English or Communication.
ILC Higher: BC1C1C1 including English at B.
IB Diploma: 26, to include Higher English at grade 5.
Alternative Qualifications: HNC or equivalent qualifications will be considered for year 1 entry. Overseas qualifications and access programmes will be considered on an individual basis. Applications are welcomed from students with alternative qualifications and relevant work experience.
Degree Link Programme: HNC Creative Industries: Radio Production from one of our partner FE Colleges will be considered for year 2 entry. HND Creative Industries: Television Production or HND Communication with Media qualifications from one of our partner FE Colleges will be considered for year 3 entry.
Placements and accreditations
The six week industrial placement in year 3 provides you with the opportunity to gain practical experience in an area of your choice within the media industries. Links exist with a range of media organisations and include television and radio broadcasting companies, as well as magazine and newspaper publishers. You may also be placed in promotional and marketing roles, or within web design companies.
The course also offers the opportunity to undertake an international study exchange or work placement during first semester of Stage 2. This is undertaken through Erasmus which is the European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students.

UK/EU Students
Students from Scotland and the EU are not liable to pay fees and should apply to SAAS for funding.
If you are from England, Wales or Northern Ireland you should apply to the appropriate funding body.
International Students
Fees are reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change
