Course overview

The overarching goal of the Master of Public Administration programme is to provide you with a dynamic and integrated approach to the study of public policy and management.

As such, this programme is uniquely placed to help you prepare for the challenges and opportunities of a career in public administration and management. The MPA degree is an internationally-recognised and well-regarded postgraduate qualification specifically designed for the public service managers and leaders of tomorrow.

Entry requirements

This course is ideal for students who possess a good honours degree in a relevant subject area, such as politics, social sciences or law. Other qualifications and experience will be considered for entry, subject to the University's judgement that you have a reasonable expectation of being able to fulfil the requirements of the award.

All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.

Fees and bursaries

FULL TIME

Fees are set for the entire course, which is normally completed over 1 year.

UK/EU Students

Entire course - £5,460 for session 2009/10

International Students

Entire course - £6,800 for session 2009/10
