About Access Foundation in Project Management, Graduate Certificate - at Robert Gordon University

This course is aimed at those with no undergraduate qualifications but who do have at least two years of work experience, or those who already have an undergraduate degree.

The overall aim is to promote an understanding of the importance of project management and its fundamental principles, concepts and methodologies, through examining the operational, change, strategic, and commercial contexts of a diverse range of projects. On completion of the course you will have the option to continue to the MSc in Project Management.

What you will study

Teaching is delivered through the University's online virtual learning environment, Campus Moodle.

Semester 1 - Projects: The Operational Context

Semester 2 - Projects: The Change Context

Semester 3 - Projects: The Commercial Context

Semester 4 - Projects: The Strategic Context

Entry requirements

You should have two years relevant industrial, commercial or professional experience or a degree in any discipline.

Candidates for whom English is not their first language must be able to demonstrate a suitable level in written and spoken English. This is normally demonstrated by providing an IELTS certificate with a score of 6.5 or the TOEFL equivalent.

Placements and accreditations

The Aberdeen Business School is recognised by The Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Global Registered Education Provider. Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s) are organisations approved by PMI to offer project management training for Professional Development Units (PDU). Our Masters is accredited by the Association of Project Management (APM)

5. Fees and bursaries

  • New students: entire course £2330 for academic year 2010/11

  • stand alone 15 credit modules: £670 per module for academic year 2010/11
