The Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy provides a focused psychotherapy training that challenges and contributes to a wide range of understandings of the therapeutic encounter.

UKCP membership
The Society for Existential Analysis is an accrediting organisation within the College of Constructivist Psychotherapies of the UKCP, and registers graduates of the Regent’s Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy as UKCP registered existential psychotherapists.
BACP accreditation
At the end of Year 1, you may have enough training hours to apply for individual accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Please note that BACP also requires candidates to show evidence of 450 hours of supervised clinical practice. Application to BACP can only be done by the individual and the School is unable to play a role in this process.
Entry requirements
We require completion of either the taught components of RUL’s MA in Psychotherapy & Counselling, or an equivalent Masters level professional training in psychotherapy, counselling or counselling psychology. We also require completion of a minimum of 100 client contact hours in a formal clinical placement, and completion of a minimum of two years’ regular individual psychotherapy. Applicants are required to demonstrate emotional maturity and an ability to be self-reflective, function effectively and ethically under pressure, and to manage conflict constructively. Please note: applicants will be expected to attend an interview before an unconditional offer can be made. Other international qualifications, as recommended by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) will also be accepted. For those applicants whose mother tongue is not English, we also require evidence of English language proficiency.
