About BA (Hons) International Business with Integrated Foundation, UG:Foundation - at Regent's University London

For students whose present qualifications do not permit direct entry to the first year of BA (Hons) studies, we offer an integrated business foundation course, leading to entry to our BA (Hons) International Business.

The BA (Hons) International Business provides the broad base of business, management and intercultural skills you will need as a future international business professional.

You have the option to complete a major in your main area of business interest, selecting from a range of relevant elective modules.

Study abroad, language study and work experience form an important part of the programme.

Why should I choose this programme?

This programme will give you an international and cross-cultural view of the business world, and enable you to develop the skills and approach to lead people in a complex and changing environment.

Key skills, aims and objectives

The Integrated Foundation aims to prepare you for entry into higher education, ensuring you possess the necessary knowledge, values, skills and competencies to undertake study at BA (Hons) level.

The programme is carefully designed to focus on the academic areas most useful to your future studies. We place great emphasis on encouraging you to reflect on your learning and to be increasingly self-motivated and self-critical. Assignments and examinations become progressively more challenging and demanding throughout the course.

By the end of the BA (Hons) International Business you will have gained:

  • The business, linguistic and intercultural skills essential for leading and managing people in different parts of the world
  • An in-depth understanding of the culture, politics and economics of
    different societies
  • The ability to think critically and creatively, solve problems and communicate effectively
  • A sense of responsibility towards others and society at large
  • A spirit of innovation and enterprise

Future opportunities

Successful completion of your foundation-level studies guarantees progression to the BA (Hons) International Business, BA (Hons) International Business & Chinese Studies or BA (Hons) International Events Management programmes. The BA (Hons) International Business and BA (Hons) International Events Management programmes are three and a half years long.

This means that if you choose to continue to one of these programmes, the total study time will be four and a half years. The BA (Hons) International Business & Chinese Studies is a four-year programme, making a total of five years with the Integrated Foundation.

Alternatively, you can choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Global Management with pathways degree. This degree is three years in length, so the total study time will be four years.
