NTNU is an international oriented university with headquarters in Trondheim and campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund.
NTNU has a main profile in science and technology, a variety of programmes of professional study, and great academic breadth that also includes the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines and artistic activities.
Our campus in Ålesund specializes in international business, ocean operations, simulation and visualisation. We offer full master's programme taught in English. Studying in Ålesund will provide you with plenty of opportunities to explore a region of Norway that is famous for its beautiful scenery with high mountains and blue fjords.
Ålesund itself, with its Art Nouveau architecture, is by many considered to be the most beautiful city in Norway. The municipality has about 50 000 inhabitants and combines outdoor activities as hiking and skiing with a vibrant city life.
About NTNU School of International Business
NTNU School of International Business performs research and education within the subject areas of marketing, economy, management, language, business and innovation. The faculty's objective is to answer and affect the region's need for higher education within economic and administrative subjects, international business and entrepreneurship.
The business sector in the northern part of Western Norway is internationally oriented, and many businesses operate in markets with a strong global competition. Several studies conclude that both the business and public sectors in the county have a great need for employees with higher education. Particularly, the need for employees with economic and administrative educations is expected to increase inthe near future.

NTNU School of International Business offers two English-taught master’s programmes in a truly international learning environment with close links to regional industry and global business practice. Students from diverse backgrounds learn in a collaborative setting that connects theory with real-world insight.

Accommodation
Student Housing
NTNU can only guarantee Sit student housing for students from outside Europe (EU/EEA/EFTA).
The NTNU Office of International Relations allocates available Sit student accommodation to international students.
The Student Welfare Organization in Ålesund (Sit Ålesund) offers housing for international students.
Monthly rental prices start from NOK 4100. Prices are adjusted 1 July each year. The rooms have access to internet and some are furnished. However, please note that the rooms are not equipped with bedding or kitchen equipment.
Most international students stay at Sørnesvågen village, which is about a 5-minute walk from campus. Most rooms at Sørnesvågen are furnished. Also Sunde-bygget, located on campus, is a preferred housing option for exchange students. Please note that it is required to buy your own mattress at Sunde-bygget.
Exchange students from partner universities are normally given priority on student housing. However, we cannot guarantee accommodation in the cheapest or preferred category.
Private housing
Students that are not allocated student housing from Sit Ålesund are required to find private accommodation.
