Course overview

This course is highly practical and provides a strong grounding in computing fundamentals. It gives you a comprehensive understanding of database systems, e-commerce, business information systems and Internet technologies. Practical skills developed will include involvement in multimedia and virtual reality projects.

The range of employment opportunities for computing graduates continues to increase. This course provides a thorough and broad education in computing for industry. Graduates have advanced skills in the development of software and are able to design and manage complex information systems.

It is accredited by the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT to Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status.

This course shares a common first year with a suite of Information Technology courses, providing you with the flexibility to review your pathway once you have started studying.

You will have the opportunity to do a year long paid work placement. Recent examples have included Hewlett Packard and Siemens

You can study and develop skills in the exciting areas of multimedia and virtual reality.
