About European Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, BBA - at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences

European Business Administration is a unique Bachelor's double-degree programme that Metropolia teaches in cooperation with our foreign partner universities. You will study one year at our partner university and you will be awarded with Bachelor degrees from Metropolia Business School and our partner institution.

Aim

EBA programme aims to give the student the practical tools and general knowledge required in business life. At the end of the final year of studies, you will graduate matured, confident and effective team player with good hands-on business know-how and practical skills, a true asset for international companies in Finland and abroad. This programme emphasis on self-development, communication, language and IT skills; in order to enable you to perform effectively in the intercultural global world of today.

Studies

The first year study will be at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences at the Myyrmäki campus. We will give you the practical tools and general knowledge you need in real business life. You will gain a solid overview of general business fields such as marketing, accounting, economics, human resource management, law and European Union and know the various functions of a company.

Depending on your choice the remaining study semesters vary in the set up of the programme for each institution. However the contents and level of study years remain similar for all partner institution. At one of our partner universities you can explore your options in depth; finance, marketing, IT or management. Our double degree partners for EBA programme are University of Wolverhampton (UK), Berlin School of Economics and Law (Germany), University of Hertfordshire (UK), Krems University of Applied Sciences (Austria) and ESC La Rochelle (France). Join a multinational team of lecturers that are enthusiastic to share their knowledge.

You will write a thesis which gives you the opportunity to research a topic or a field of particular interest. You will do a work placement as partial fulfilment of your degree programme. You are encouraged to do this abroad to enrich your international profile. In addition this gives you a chance to practice what you have learned and find the field you wish to specialize in. The work load for this degree programme is 210 ECTS which includes 30 ECTS of placement and a 15 ECTS bachelor's thesis.
