Course overview

* Early Childhood will be available as a BA Single Honours degree in 2017, UCAS code X320. Hear from one of our students about studying Early Childhood at Liverpool Hope. The early experience of children in today's society is crucial to their future life experience. This truth has become a reality of clear significance for those involved in a whole range of aspects of life, including politicians, policy makers, educationalists, psychologists and sociologists. Thus early childhood is receiving significantly increased attention due to its importance for securing lifelong learning and development. The widening gap nationally and internationally between advantaged and disadvantaged children clearly emphasises the implications of supporting children and their families in their early years. The Early Childhood programme at Liverpool Hope University is taught by academics from a wide variety of backgrounds, including Sociology, Education, Health and Psychology. The teaching team are all actively involved in research and have published in their specialist fields.
