Western's Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) will put you on the path to a career in teaching children from birth to 5 years. With growing worldwide recognition of the importance of the early years in fostering children's healthy learning and development, be a part of laying the foundations for children's educational success as an early childhood teacher.

Our Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is specifically designed as an initial teacher qualification, equipping graduates with the specialist knowledge and skills to teach effectively in early childhood education and care settings with children from birth to 5 years.

During your studies, you will gain 80 days of professional experience, as well as the theoretical experience by developing a professional e-portfolio throughout the course of the program to demonstrate your capacity to work successfully as a graduate teacher.

You'll also have access to purpose-designed facilities, including wet play areas designed to support hands-on learning, as well as scholarship and paid placement opportunities.

The program is flexible, providing both on-campus and/or online learning options to accommodate the wide range of student commitments.

This program is accredited by both the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Our Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is ranged 2nd in NSW, top 10 in Australia and top 50 worldwide (Times Higher Education ranking for Quality Education).
