Course overview
Develop your skill set in more than one subject area and study with a wider range of expert staff on this Music Production with Folk course at Leeds Conservatoire. You’ll take your Specialist Study modules in Production and your Specialist Group Study modules in Folk.
We champion original material, and encourage you to take creative risks. By the end of your production with folk degree, you will be a specialist in your chosen discipline and will have established your individual artistic identity and voice as a musician, whilst possessing a breadth of understanding, knowledge and transferable skills that will support you throughout your future career.
Combining small group tuition and one-to-one final year tuition/mentoring, small-ensemble work and seminars, students’ composition skills will be underpinned with the technical know-how necessary to compete in a dynamic music industry. Students will enhance their understanding of production practices within a studio environment alongside issues of style and repertoire from a folk perspective.
